It refers to the immigration status of foreign nationals who enter the country with a permit from the Government Secretary (Ministry of the Interior) in order to live or stay in Mexico on a temporary basis. The 80% of the Immigration documents we obtain are under the temporal resident modality.
Temporal resident cards must be renewed on a yearly basis within 30 days before the expiration date. Some renewals may be authorized for 1, 2 or 3 years.
The maximum lengh of stay under this kind of status is 4 years.
